I have been mining Zcash for a few months now and switched to Zclassic yesterday to test it out. I have 5 undervolted Cards and get around 2600 solutions. According to whattomine i should get around 25$ a day with my rig. That was with the 130$ price we had yesterday.

Start ZCLASSIC Mining. 2017 © ALTpool.pro. Power per hour. Power per hour. Cost per hour.

So after 1 day i should have around 0,18ZCL? But i only mined 0,13ZCL, making it as profitable as Zcash itself? It seems that the difficulty spiked a few times yesterday but still. What profit do you make on average? Are my numbers normal? I saw several comments of people claiming to make more then 10$ a day with just one card Nvidia in different subreddits.

Are they full of shit or am i doing something wrong? I know there are other algorithms to mine, but still.

Even compared to those i should get more profit on average. Thx for any help. Edit: Im mining on suprnova btw.

Had now problems all those months. Would you recommend another pool? Mainly has to do with you competing against large farms. Even on mining pool hub, when a block is found, you'll notice pool hashrate spikes millions of sols/s, however net hash (all pools/websites together) dosent budge. Meaning the hashrate from a large account (such as nicehash) points to Mining Pool Hub until next block cycle. So you might be mining for hours no blocks, soon as a block is found, your hours of mining is virtually useless, and the big massive farm gets majority, therefore you get less than you should.

If the big farm never pool hoped, you would get exactly what WhatToMine says. There are so many variables that will affect the price time to time: Zclassic price. Bitcoin dragging the price up or down.

Network difficulty (I have seen variations that go from 90Mhs to 120Mhs). Your pool hashrate (MPH has some serious variations, it can go low to 30% of the total network up to 99% like someone posted a picture the other day). I just mine Zlassic because is overall quite a bit more profitable than Zcash in BTC value, therefore in US value. Amd because I'm accumulating for the fork;) If some other algo becomes more profitable, not for few hours but for days, then I would switch to it and sell it for Zclassic as I would get more ZCL that way. I have 15x 1070 and 4x 1070ti. Doing about US$76.6 according to whattomine (as right now) US$4.03 per card overall a day. So I believe $10 a day is quite unreal to be frank, unless they got free power, but still.
