Hello everyone, I hope all is well. I am looking to get into mining, and after days of intensive research, I've decided to go with Litecoin. After I wasted too much time trying to configure a homebuild that would actually have a relatively quick ROI, as well as be profitable, I gave up and decided to go the ASIC route. So, my question to you fine ladies and gentlemen is probably debated quite a bit. Which ASIC would you recommend?

I have been eyeing a few, like the Antminer L3+ and the Baikal X11 Dash Miner. Which of these products, or others, would you kindly recommend, and why? Download A Monero XMR Miner here. I am looking to get into it ASAP. Thank you, in advance, for any info and/or suggestions you provide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated:) • • • • •. 'After I wasted too much time trying to configure a homebuild that would actually have a relatively quick ROI, as well as be profitable, I gave up and decided to go the ASIC route.' Nope, you're wrong. 'I have been eyeing a few, like the Antminer L3+ and the Baikal X11 Dash Miner.'

Dash miner doesn't even mine litecoin. You need to do more research on the algorithms and what asics can mine them. Otherwise you'll be punching X11 GH numbers into a litecoin calculator and seeing Returns of 1000%, which is so very wrong. Thank you for your input, HazelnutPraline.

Based on my numbers and everything, though, if I were to buy the parts for a homebuilt GPU miner, the cost seems to far out weigh the profit, based on the hashrate calculations. I was looking at RX 4xx and 5xx series GPUs.

It just seems like the ASICs have a much, much higher hashrate than even a grouping of 3 or 4 GPUs. Am I wrong in that assumption? I'm glad you mentioned that the X11 doesn't mine Litecoin; I have read some say it does, and some say it does not. The site where I was looking to buy one says that it can mine Litecoin. So is the Antminer L3+ the best Litecoin mining ASIC?

The A2 Mega also seemed like a solid choice, but it is power hungry. Gridseed's ASICs look good, too, but I really liked the X11 Dash the most.

Would you mind pointing in the right direction as to where I can find better data on the algorithm and/or Litecoin ASICs? • • • • • • •. GPU mining for litecoin is dead.

Currently you will need to do some work in finding a good scrypt miner. The bitmain product is currently at the top and people have received miner so they are somewhat known to deliver, so trustworthy. There are various other companies that are unproven out there that may mine quicker and have projects in the pipe, but you run the risk the company goes under, or charges too much, or takes too long to give you the product. They often require upfront payment, and when they vanish, so does your coin. This is your heads up. It’s happened to me and I’ve lost significant coin on that gamble in the past.

If you buy an l3 now, my prediction is that by the time you get it, it’ll probably be breaking even (I think they speak of March delivery). And then will cost you money to run for the rest o the year.

But prices may rise and you may be able to stretch it out a bit more. Also prices of litecoin May tank. If you buy the 10 litecoin upfront now, it may be a better bet aaaand it may not. This is the beauty of being your call.

Good luck and happy hashing. • • • • • • •.

L3+ is best bet, and yes, you may still be too late for the game. I was considering it about a month or two ago and didn't pull the trigger because it didn't satisfy my needs back then, now it does so even less. When i say wait until march, what i mean is, you pay bitmain now, and they will ship it in march. New rumors are saying that the L3+ is sold out, so you may not even get that.

I wonder if someone online may comment on its availability. I'm not going to give advice here, as it's all super risky. But what i'm doing is looking at new mining tech being created by different companies and making bets on which companies will successfully bring that tech to market, and then buying preorder if i believe they can fulfil based on profitability calculations (including difficulty increases).

It's all risky, but i think i already said that. • • • • • • •.
