I can not get BFGminer 4.10 to recognize the U3, it will recognize the U2s with no problem, but can't get any response to detect the U3. Cgminer will only work if you get the antminer version, here are the commands to get the U3 to work with cgminer: cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:0.65 -o xxx -u xxx --bmsc-voltage 0800 --bmsc-freq 1306 Anyway to do this with BFGminer? The antminer cgminer will only connect to one pool, unless the U3 driver is not installed, then it will connect but can't find the device. Well, I don't have a sample unit, the unit I have is like this. I got it, wouldn't work, contacted the seller, he sent me to the discussion on bitcointalk, no one could get the darn thing to work. After about a week, Bitmain put the Antminer U3 manual online.

BitMain has revealed a new 63 GHS AntMiner U3 SHA-256 ASIC miner designed for home users as the successor of the previously available USB stick miners that the.

They give the instructions to use it, doesn't work, after finally finding someone who got it to work, it works, now it keeps crashing as if the driver goes out, I have had to reinstall the driver 8 times today, and if it dies again, I'll have to reinstall it. Here's the manual, see if it can help, when I get my Butterfly Labs 60GHs units, I'll gladly send you mine to see if you can get it to work. What I hate, you have to use their cgminer 4.6.1, not 4.7.1 or any other, and NO pool works except for btcguild, why, I don't know, has to be something in that driver. Without the driver, cginer will switch between all the pools, and the ting that really gets me is I can't connect to their antpool with cgminer. Perhaps if more customers ask them for BFGMiner support, that will change. In the meantime, can you send a sample unit? — Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub. Cgminer 4.8.0 was released and it has native support for the U3, I'm assuming if you look at the source code for the antminer library for cgminer, you may be able to get it to work for bfgminer, if needed, I can send you one of my U3 units to use for testing purposes, right now they can be had for less than $79 at amazon.com.

I have posted my video showing it working with cgminer, and have a special account set up, and have asked for donations to help get bfgminer to work with it, so I shall check it and get back with you. I currently have 2 of them, one I bought for $89.99, one for $83.00, and they only seem to work separately, if they are both connected one will go zombie with cgminer, but then once in awhile they will both run at an average of 117GH/s, and I constantly have to keep reinstalling the drivers. I hate cgminer, but at least 4.8.0 is supporting all 11 of my pools, whereas only 2 of them will even work with Bitmains version. Everyone seems to ask about bfgminer, and my videos are coming up in the top searches for u3 mining, since I seem to be the only one who has actually been able to get the running and show step by step in the videos how to do it. I can't speak for bfgminer and the U3. Tho I also have similar zombie issues with cgminer 4.7.1 regardless of the clock/power settings I use. I did however compile both cgminer to use sha256 devices and bfgminer to use scrypt devices on the same ubuntu machine. I have some minor USB device conflicts from time to time but only because they are both attached to the same USB device hub. Switching cables around is one fix; powering up and starting cgminer/bfgminer in a particular order is another; Better solution is to use certain command line options to designate which device for bfgminer and cgminer to use.

I've recently received an Antminer U2 and have been having trouble trying to get it mining. I'm using bfgminer 3.10 and can't get it to hash at all. I'm using a hub with sufficient power (5v 3.5a) and also have two block erupters that are mining without issue. I've tried just mining with the Antminer, but bfgminer doesn't see it. I installed the driver for the Antminer U1. As I understand it, it's basically the same hardware.

Is there a different driver I should be using? I'm confused and frustrated. I've had this thing for half a week sitting useless. My.BAT looks like: @echo off bfgminer.exe -o stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -O worker:pass --failover-only -Q 0 -s 30 --icarus-options 115200:1:1:r -S opencl:noauto -S erupter:all -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0981 UPDATE: I'm getting 1.6gh/s on cgminer but am not sure how to use the erupters at the same time, even if it means using two mining software.

As soon as I plug an erupter in, cgminer starts throwing errors. Cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:20 -o 198.245.63.145:3333 -u user -p pass --bmsc-freq 0981 Shouldn't I be getting 2gh/s with this freq setting? My AntMiner U2 still will not work either. I'm using bfgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:20 -o us1.ghash.io:3333 -u XXX.worker1 -p XXX --bmsc-freq 0981 to start the program but it just opens and then instantly closes. When I change it to bfgminer.exe -o us1.ghash.io:3333 -u XXX.worker1 -p XXX it opens and runs, but tells me that there are no devices found.

I try to use 'M' + '+' and then typing either amu:all, all, or auto, it still does not detect my device. I have UAC off running Windows 7, and it DOES show up in my devices and printers. I'm pretty sure I have all of the drivers installed and I'm using BFGMiner 3.10.0 64 bit.

(All from this guide:) Please help! Remove zadig and plug in your U1 or U2. Plug in all your ant miners. Open your control panel and check which com ports the antminers a set to and add them in run command batch file. Note that you need to install the silabs drivers (google silabs usb uart drivers). BFGminer only works with silabs driver.

Zadig is for cgminer as that points the miners to win usb. Example of a command line: bfgminer.exe -o pool.emercoin.com:3333 -u emermarco.emer01 -p myworker01 -S. COM4 Remember not to have extra spaces between commands as then the bfg miner will open and close or not recognise.

Also, use ur own user.worker and psw etc.

Here is a link to the BITMAIN S4 and U3 support files for cgminer if that helps any; My email is if you want to send me private mail, I am uploading a new video showing cgminer 4.9.0 running with the AU3 units, and will check for donations to help pay for a U3 for you, if you want to provide me with your address on my private email.
